FIRST STEP

Start with one debt

Enter a nickname, current balance, APR, and minimum monthly payment. Promotional APR, its expiration date, and any fixed fee are optional. Then enter your total monthly debt-payment budget, including minimums. Estimates appear when the details are valid and the budget covers the minimums.

Choose a downloaded plan to review it before replacing this device’s saved inputs.

All balances, minimums, fees, and budgets are in U.S. dollars (USD). APR is an annual percentage rate.

Custom order has its own priority list. Changing priority keeps the debt entries in the order you entered them.

For U.S. consumers, enter debt details manually; you do not need to connect a financial account or provide account credentials.

FREE OFFER COMPARISON

Compare up to two consolidation offers

Enter the terms of offers you already have. Each estimate is available before you finish a payoff plan; PayoffHarbor does not lend, arrange loans, or negotiate with lenders.

No offers entered. Add your first offer to see its estimate. No account or completed payoff plan is needed, and offer entries are saved only in this browser.

These are educational estimates, not recommendations, lender quotes, or guarantees. The model assumes monthly payments at month end. Actual lender interest calculations, payment timing, and additional fees may differ. Do not choose an offer solely because its monthly payment is lower. Calculator entries are saved on this device. Later changes do not update a report already purchased.

ILLUSTRATIVE REPORT PREVIEW

A report built from your plan

Sample inputs and outcomes below are illustrative, not customer data.

Illustrative sample inputs
  • Sample card A: $1,200.00 at 24% APR · $40.00 minimum per month
  • Sample card B: $800.00 at 18% APR · $30.00 minimum per month
  • Monthly budget, including minimums: $150.00
  • Extra monthly payment on top of budget: $50.00
  • Total monthly amount in extra-payment scenario: $200.00
  • Selected strategy: Avalanche
  • Sample offer: $2,000.00 at 14.9% APR for 24 months · $25.00 origination fee added to loan balance · $0.00 other fees

Illustrative strategy results at the entered budget:

  • Avalanche: 16 months · $293.40 interest · $2,293.40 total modeled payments
  • Snowball: 16 months · $326.69 interest · $2,326.69 total modeled payments
  • Custom order: 16 months · $293.40 interest · $2,293.40 total modeled payments

With an extra $50.00 on top of the $150.00 budget that includes minimums, the sample uses $200.00 per month and estimates 12 months and $2,213.43 total payments. The sample consolidation offer is $2,000.00 at 14.9% APR for 24 months, with a $25.00 origination fee financed and $0.00 other known fees. It estimates $329.14 interest, $25.00 total fees, $2,000.00 net proceeds, a $98.09 monthly payment, and $2,354.14 total repayment cost.

Sample action checklist
  1. Check the entered $150.00 total monthly budget against $70.00 in listed minimums. After minimums, it has up to $80.00 for its Avalanche target; the budget includes minimums.
  2. Review debt 1 (Sample card A): $1,200.00 balance, No promotional APR entered; 24% regular APR applies from modeled Month 1., $40.00 monthly minimum, $0.00 entered one-time fee. These inputs set modeled balance, interest, and minimum allocation. Its active rate affects Avalanche target order.
  3. Review debt 2 (Sample card B): $800.00 balance, No promotional APR entered; 18% regular APR applies from modeled Month 1., $30.00 monthly minimum, $0.00 entered one-time fee. These inputs set modeled balance, interest, and minimum allocation. Its active rate affects Avalanche target order.
  4. Review the selected Avalanche projection: 16 months, $2,293.40 total payments, and $293.40 interest at $150.00 per month. Compare other strategies; payoff order changes the estimate.
  5. Compare adding $50.00 per month to the $150.00 budget under Avalanche: at $200.00 total per month, the model estimates 12 months, $2,213.43 total payments, 4 fewer months, and $79.97 less in total payments and $79.97 less modeled interest.
  6. Verify offer terms: $2,000.00 at 14.9% APR for 24 months; $25.00 origination fee financed; $0.00 other entered fees. These inputs drive the estimate.
  7. Compare modeled payment $98.09/month for 24 months, total cost $2,354.14, and $2,000.00 net proceeds with $2,000.00 in listed balances and entered debt fees. Proceeds cover those listed amounts.
  8. The offer has a lower estimated monthly payment ($98.09 versus the selected plan's $150.00 monthly budget), and its 24-month term is 8 months longer than the selected payoff estimate (16 months), but increases total estimated cost by $60.74. A lower payment alone is not a reason to choose an offer.

Calculation assumptions used in the report
  • APR ÷ 12 interest accrues monthly on each starting balance.
  • At month end, interest is added, minimums are paid first, then the remaining monthly budget goes to the selected target; freed capacity rolls forward.
  • The optional extra-payment scenario adds the entered amount on top of the monthly budget, which already includes minimums, and applies it to the selected strategy target.
  • Minimums stay fixed at the amounts entered and are capped at the balance due.
  • One-time fees are added to balances before first-month interest.
  • Promotional APR applies through the entered number of modeled months, and regular APR starts in the following modeled month. Without a promotion, regular APR applies from modeled Month 1.
  • When supplied, a calendar promotional expiry is captured in the snapshot and converted to whole modeled months from the report date; partial-month APR changes are not modeled.
  • A supplied promotional expiry date is converted to whole calendar months for this monthly estimate; a rate change within a month is not modeled. Older saved plans that contain only months remaining keep that month count. Confirm promotional terms, interest calculations, and payment timing with the lender.
  • Weekly and biweekly views split the same annual payment across 52 or 26 installments. Paying half of a monthly payment every two weeks creates 26 half-payments (13 monthly payments per year); that separate extra-payment pattern is not modeled. Early partial-payment savings are omitted.
  • Consolidation assumes month-end payments; actual lender timing, calculations, and fees may differ.
  • These are educational estimates, not financial advice.
Browser-saved plans stay on this device; account copies are private to your signed-in account. Do not enter account numbers, bank credentials, or Social Security numbers.
Interest is estimated monthly from APR ÷ 12 on each month’s starting balance and rounded to cents. At month end, the planner pays each listed minimum first, then directs remaining budget to the selected strategy’s target; freed payment capacity rolls to the next open debt. Minimums stay fixed as entered and are capped at the amount owed. One-time fees are added at the start, and an entered promotional APR changes to the regular APR after its stated months. Lender calculations and posting dates can differ. Estimates are not financial advice.
The full picture matters

A smaller payment can still cost more.

When you enter a consolidation offer, compare more than the monthly number. PayoffHarbor estimates the fee, interest, time to repay, and whether the net proceeds cover your listed balances.

If a lower payment stretches repayment or raises the total cost, the comparison calls that out. The offer is yours to evaluate; PayoffHarbor never chooses for you.

Good to know

A few straight answers.

See what the planner can—and cannot—tell you.

Are these payoff dates guaranteed?

No. They are estimates based on the balances, rates, minimums, and monthly budget you enter. Lender interest methods, payment posting dates, changing rates, and fees can change your actual results.

Does my monthly budget mean extra on top of minimums?

No. Enter the total amount you can put toward all listed debts each month, including their minimum payments. The planner keeps minimums in the plan and directs what remains to the next debt.

Does PayoffHarbor offer or arrange loans?

No. You can enter the terms of an offer you already have to estimate its costs. PayoffHarbor does not lend, negotiate debts, collect creditor payments, submit loan applications, or sell customer information.
